What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUBSTITUTE: CLEANER - CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT position at Greater Southern Tier BOCES?

and may be used to fill vacancies which may occur in the GST BOCES Region
Substitute cleaners are needed for all GST BOCES campuses to work on an on-call, as needed basis. This is an all year position. The shift is generally 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. with some flexibility.
The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those examples listed here:
- Dust, vacuum, sweep
- Wash windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs and bowls
- Gather and dispose of refuse
- Uses heavy mechanical equipment to strip, polish and was floors
- May open and secure buildings
- May varnish, shellac and polish furniture and brass
- May tend the furnace
- May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks such as unskilled painting or carpentry
- May be required to replace lights, hang window shades and Venetian blinds
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- New York State DMV driver’s license with experience driving a large van or commercial vehicle
- Pleasant attitude; friendly; ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds; good physical condition
- Ability to follow routine and maintain delivery schedule
- Dependability
