Hillsborough YMCA is currently seeking energetic and motivational Fitness Floor Supervisors to support our mission in strengthening the community through healthy living. As a Fitness Floor Supervisor you will provide member service, guidance and leadership to all members and participants in the Wellness Center. You are responsible to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

As a Fitness Floor Supervisor you will provide member service, guidance and leadership to all members and participants in the Wellness Center. You are responsible to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Provides a high level of customer service greeting each member by first name.
- Enforce the rules posted to help maintain an organized facility.
- Creates a safe, positive, and motivating environment for members and staff.
- Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the wellness area and report any equipment issues.
- Build effective and authentic relationships with members; help members connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Assists with the promotion of YMCA Healthy Living Programs including Personal Training, Chronic Disease Programming, Group Exercise Classes, etc.
- Observe participants and members activities; enforce safety regulations and positively explain and interpret all YMCA safety policies.
- Walk through and monitor the Wellness Center periodically.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Working knowledge of body mechanics and physical fitness principles preferred.
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
