The Facilities Manager at our Bakery location supports daily bakery manufacturing and the distribution of commissary and baked goods to our Cincinnati locations by leading the Distribution, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams and supporting members of the location's leadership team to ensure a high level of service to our internal customers.
KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Take ownership of daily activities to effectively run Graeter's bakery and retail distribution at the bakery location, ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that all areas of the facility, including the grounds, are maintained and kept clean to a high standard.
- Supports the bakery location leadership team in effectively managing the facility. This includes coordinating staffing requirements, inventory levels, and purchasing of supply items.
- Supports the customer service and administrative teams. Including preparing packages for shipments.
- Coordinates with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance teams to implement and follow through with all food safety standards.
- Leads the Distribution, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams to meet the current and future distribution and facilities needs of the organization. Manages direct reports by coordinating workload, performance, and hiring.
- Ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment of bakery, candy, and warehouse goods to local retail stores, special events, the ice cream production facility, the mail order facility, and the off-site storage location.
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of the bakery fleet, including DOT compliance and inspections.
- Develops and maintains the master sanitation schedule.
- Ensures commissary for retail locations is well-stocked, organized, and distributed.
- Manages, qualifies, and maintains relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure quality standards, accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost effectiveness.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, flexibility required to meet production/distrubtion needs.
- Saturday: Some Saturday hours will be required.
- Holidays are the facility's peak season, and additional hours will be required leading up to those times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Experience: 5 years in facilities, distribution, warehouse, or project management
- Leadership: 3 years in leading teams larger than 5
- Licensure & Certification: Valid Driver's License, and previous forklift certification is preferred
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
