What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Nurse Supervisor position at Greater Portland Health?
The Nurse Supervisor partners with practice leadership to establish and implement protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and exceptional patient care across the medical home teams. This position provides support for clinical problem solving and staffing issues. The position also serves in an expanded nursing role that collaborates with the medical team to provide a model of care that ensures the delivery of quality, efficient, and cost-effective healthcare services. The person in this role integrates evidence-based clinical guidelines, preventive guidelines, protocols, and other metrics in the development of treatment plans that are patient-centered, promoting quality and efficiency in the delivery of healthcare.
Supervises: Nurse Care Managers, Registered Nurses, Triage Registered Nurses
This position is not eligible for a hybrid or fully remote schedule.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with one to two years of acute care and primary care.
- Licensed as an RN by the State of Maine Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Must have a total of 5–7 years of education and related experience.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Experience in care management/care coordination desired.
- Prior leadership experience is desired.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy, experience in lab specimen preparation and handling, vaccine administration and medication injections, wound care and telephone triage experience preferred.

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
