What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Coordinator position at Greater Phoenix Economic Council?

The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) is seeking a digital marketing coordinator. This role reports to the senior director of digital marketing. As the digital marketing coordinator, you will support how GPEC communicates our work to those in Greater Phoenix and the momentum of the region to those outside the market by maintaining GPEC’s social media profiles.
- Develop and curate engaging content for GPEC’s social media platforms
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a content calendar
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo content
- Maintain a unified brand voice across channels
- Attend GPEC and partner events to produce social media content
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
- Manage the Greater Phoenix, Greater Together LinkedIn community group
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
- Assist in the development and management of digital ad strategy
- Support the upkeep of GPEC’s website as needed
Recent graduates with some previous work or internship experience preferred, but any interested applicant will be considered. Candidate qualifications include:
- Work experience in social media, marketing, or related field preferred
- Strong writing skills, including knowledge of AP Style, copywriting best practices and SEO keyword strategies
- Extremely strong organizational skills and attention to detail, common sense, ability to tackle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
- Strong research capabilities and ability to write concise summaries
- Proactive nature and takes initiative where needs arise
- Discrete with sensitive information
- Experience with StatusBrew or a similar social management platform is a plus
- Ability to learn new technology and software
- Experience in Canva is preferred; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Mac OS interface
- Basic understanding of project management and contact management systems
- Highly motivated to learn, grow professionally and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Open to giving and receiving feedback
