What Is Needed For This Job

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience a plus, but not required.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
• Ability to monitor the property and access areas quickly.
• Ability to deescalate inappropriate or threatening situations.
• Prolonged periods sitting or standing.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  
  

The Responsibilities We Will Trust You With

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for members and team members of GPY.
• Monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to branch leadership and maintains a log of this activity.
• Deescalates inappropriate or threatening situations.
• Monitors surveillance cameras throughout the facility.
• Conducts building walkthroughs with attention to detail to ensure a safe environment inside and outside of the Branch.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• At the end of operating hours, checks to ensure the property is secure, updates activity log is and ensures that key information is passed along to branch leadership.
• Addresses reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Prepare for threats and emergencies with a plan of action.
• Escorts unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Works collaboratively with GPY staff and members to support a positive member experience.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
