What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Practice Women’s Health Provider position at Greater Philadelphia Health Action?
Founded in 1970, Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate and affordable healthcare services to communities experiencing healthcare disparities. Since 1970, GPHA has expanded to become one of the premier providers of ambulatory medical, dental and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. On-site services include laboratory, pharmacy and language interpretation through interactive video and live interpreters.
Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is presently seeking:
- A full-time or part-time Nurse-Midwife or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
- Collaborative member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team comprised of primary care clinicians (Pediatric, Internal/Adult Medicine, Family Medicine) and specialists (Endocrinology – Infectious Disease – Rheumatology – Podiatry). The healthcare team also includes medical case managers, nurses, and behavioral health therapists.
- Provide a broad range of services including but not limited to:
- Well woman care
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- Contraceptive management
- Procedure based care is also possible
- Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.
- Provide selected services for male partners of their patients such as genetic counseling and STI treatment.
- Practice under the supervision of the Director of Women’s Health Services, a Board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist
