Duties
- Manage daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
- Lead, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and early childhood education
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote childhood development and learning
- Maintain open communication with parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on their children’s progress
- Oversee child supervision to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management throughout the day
- Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions (including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid), and performance evaluations
- Ensure all staff are trained in mandated reporting laws, classroom management techniques, and inclusive practices for children with disabilities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education, child development instruction, and classroom management strategies
- Experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Proficiency in child supervision, behavior management, and caregiving techniques to foster a nurturing environment
- Excellent parent communication skills to build trust and maintain positive relationships with families
- Familiarity with daycare center operations, licensing requirements, health & safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
