Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Nursing Technician to join our healthcare team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our nursing staff and ensuring that each patient receives high-quality care in a safe, respectful, and therapeutic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff with patient care activities and daily living needs.
- Monitor patients and report changes to nursing staff.
- Provide support with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with facility and LDH standards.
- Document care accurately and timely in patient records.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and the values of Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a behavioral health, residential, or medical setting preferred.
- CNA certification or nursing assistant experience a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
