A Business Administrative Assistant is needed:
General Requirements for Both Positions:
- Embrace and demonstrate Christian values and principles
- Submit a recommendation from a local church affiliation or leader. Church ministry involvement is a plus.
- Proficient in English along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, spell and edit with speed and accuracy
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, trust, professionalism, and business etiquette
- Experienced with handling and accounting for money
- Have a heart to serve in a ministry environment
- Periodlically, Be able to work extended hours when needed
- Be detailed oriented
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion.

Business Administrative Assistant Summary of Duties includes:
- Assist the Minister of Business Administration in managing the business affairs of the church.
- Writing Checks in Quickbooks bookkeeping system
- Process payroll & time
- Keep track of employee records, leave time,
- Process and record financial contributions; Make deposits
- Generate financial reports and balances
- Process Ministry and business check requests
- Type, print, edit bulletins, announcements, programs, funeral brochures, etc.
- Enter data into computer programs
- Process bills for payment
- Keep track of inventory,
- Process building reservations and manage event schedules
- Answer and respond to numerous phone calls and emails
- Assist with Custodial and building and grounds management
- Schedule appointments
- Ensure administrative policies and procedures are followed and enforced.
- Be cross-trained to perform the ministerial assistant duties when needed.
- Type letters, documents, communicate with business personnel and members
- Maintain an accurate filing system
- Make mass copies on commercial copiers
Ministerial Administrative Assistant Summary of Duties Includes:
Assist the Sr. Pastor in carrying out office related and ministerial tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate membership records on members and non-members
- Coordinate funeral and wedding events with the pastor and communicate related policies
- Missions Administrative Tasks(Social Services Clerical Work): Obtain applications and screen candidates in need of financial assistance in the community and among church members. Make purchases when needed.
- Process ministry-related check requests for payment according to approved budgets.
- Schedule appointments for the pastor (Counseling, ministry meetings, community meetings, etc.)
- Develop calendar of events
- Maintain active roster of the church leadership and their terms
- Type, print, or post Christian education materials
- Collect hospitality funds and keep an accurate record.
- Attend community events as directed by the Pastor
- Assist Business administrator when needed
- Maintain an accurate filing system
- Be cross trained to perform Business Administrative Assistant tasks when needed.
- Make mass copies on commercial copiers
- Answer and respond to numerous telephone calls
- Enter Data into Special church software
- Email, fax, call , text individuals as needed.
- Provide church ministries details and church details to interested parties.
