We are seeking an accomplished and mission-driven Pediatrician – Medical Director to lead our Pediatric Department and help shape the future of community-based pediatric care.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, the Pediatric Medical Director provides both clinical and strategic leadership—balancing hands-on patient care with the vision and management skills required to guide a dynamic and growing team.
In this role, you will set the standard for excellence by modeling compassionate, culturally responsive care; mentoring providers; optimizing operational workflows; and advancing initiatives that support NBCH’s mission of equitable, accessible, and family-centered healthcare.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction: Develop and execute departmental goals that align with NBCH’s broader mission, vision, and growth strategy.
- Clinical Oversight: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care through oversight of provider performance, clinical quality, and patient outcomes.
- Mentorship & Development: Cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and lifelong learning for pediatric staff and trainees.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain systems that streamline care delivery, enhance access, and strengthen patient satisfaction.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with nursing, behavioral health, and operations teams to foster communication, integration, and innovation across service lines.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a visible leader and advocate for children’s health within the community and partner organizations.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including well and sick visits, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct physical assessments, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care with an emphasis on education and prevention.
- Champion a family-centered approach to care that empowers parents and caregivers as active participants in their child’s health.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with current, unrestricted Medical license.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
- Active DEA and Controlled Substance Registration.
- Current BLS/CPR/PALS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in pediatrics.
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Interest and commitment to community and public health.
- Strong EMR skills ( we use EPIC)
