Job Title: Head AM Opening Lifeguard and Swim Instructor
FLSA Status: non-exempt, part-time (15-29 hours/week)
Wage: $11-13/hr or doe
Hours: P/T 4:30-8:30am M-W, plus other shifts throughout the week
Reports to: Director of Aquatics
Probation: Subject to a 12-month introductory (probationary) period
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead AM Opening Lifeguard & Swim Instructor is responsible for maintaining order in the pool area at all times. Primary responsibilities are (1) to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and (2) must be reliable, available and committed for early morning shifts. Assures safety of all pool participants, both members and non-members and assumes all job duties of a swim instructor. Must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization. Works with limited supervision. Provides exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Minimum age is 18 years old
Required – Certification in CPR, First Aid and Lifeguarding, can be obtained at the Y
Preferred – Lifeguarding experience, and swim instruction experience
Preferred – Experience with children or willingness to be trained
Salary : $11 - $13
