Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our growing Orthopedic Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for surgical procedures and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Professional and courteous customer service
- Accuracy of patient data
-Detail oriented and ability to multi task
- Verify insurance is active
- Obtain authorizations
-Appeal/edit authorizations when needed for billing department
-Mail out surgery benefit letters
-Collect and track surgery deposits
Experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
