Medical Assistant (Southern Maryland)

Greater Maryland Pain Management, LLC is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be organized, professional, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a high-volume medical environment.  Candidates must be customer service driven with the goal of creating a positive experience for every patient we serve.  Greater Maryland Pain Management is conveniently at several locations. Position Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Coordinate patient flow in a busy practice
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Review and reconcile medications
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Assist with telephone calls, messages, referrals, and prescription requests
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and practice policies
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For:
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Pain management, orthopedic, or other specialty-practice experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
