Position Summary:
Our busy ophthalmology practice needs an organized and dedicated Call Center Representative. This position involves communicating with patients both over the phone and sometimes in person.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This list may not include all the duties assigned and/or to be delegated and may be updated intermittently to accommodate miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Answer phone calls to our dedicated scheduling line and book appointments for various visit types.
- Greet patients and assist them with questions/concerns.
- Change appointments for patients and communicate with other health care professionals about changes.
- Coordinate schedules with surgeons, technicians, and other health care professionals.
- Schedule emergency appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Print encounter forms for the next working day.
- Assist where needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as scheduler, call center rep, or other relevant position.
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, etc).
- Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Spanish speaking a bonus (optional).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- High School diploma.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
