Female Custodian

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal. They may also be required to complete duties related to window washing, room set-ups and breakdowns, pool cleaning, and other related responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure the facility is attractive and clean, by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintaining upkeep of assigned areas and equipment.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Records and report all needed repairs.
• Replace soap, paper towels and other supplies.
• Strip and wax floors and shampoo rugs, as needed.
• Follow standards of Department of Health, Department of Buildings, and Local Fire Department.
• Follow YMCA housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events.

• Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, along with basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
• Excellent hospitality skills.
