Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. - Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the private sector or federal service applying knowledge of housing assistance programs; providing property search services; supplying information or instructions to clients regarding tenant rights and responsibilities; and linking veterans into permanent housing.
- Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4-year course of study post high school; or combination of experience and education.
- Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education.

Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Housing Management Assistant is to link Veterans in the HUD VASH program to permanent housing. The Housing Management Assistant will establish and maintain relationships with landlords, private agencies, non-profit agencies, and governmental agencies who serve the homeless, as well as VA staff who work with Veterans in need of transitional or permanent housing.Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
