What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, Civic and Community Initiatives position at Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce?
25% Facilitate the KC Chamber’s Talent initiative and any successor programs.
· Collaborate with Public Policy team to scope initiative and plan project and deliverables.
· Manage volunteer committee(s) including planning, facilitation and convenings.
· Develop, deliver and evaluate effectiveness of content and results.
· Refine and evolve experience as needed to ensure program sustainability.
30% Execute biennial trade mission and Catalyst executive experience on alternate years.
· Support Director, World Trade Center – Kansas City on Trade Mission including destination research.
· Support SVP, Civic and Community Initiatives on Catalyst experience including destination research.
· Collaborate with Strategic Partnership and Events teams to curate content and experience, execute logistics and deliver delegate communications.
· Measure results.
25% Support quarterly State of Series program.
· Coordinate speakers and moderators as needed.
· Collaborate with Events team on planning and execution.
· Measure results.
15% Support annual ATHENA awards program.
· Support Director – Leadership Programs on annual ATHENA program including honoree selection process and committee engagement.
· Collaborate with Events team on awards program execution.
5% Support Chamber events, programs and members as required.
· Support Chamber events including, but not limited to, Annual Dinner, Kansas City Chiefs Kickoff Lunch, Kansas City Current Kickoff Lunch, Small Business Awards, Power of Diversity, Neighborhood Networking, etc.
· Participate in other programmatic and membership activities as needed to support Strategic Partnerships and revenue generation.
