What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Greater Houston Counseling Services?
Greater Houston Counseling Services (GHCS) is developing our medication management program and looking for a compassionate, experienced PMHNP to join our team. This role is ideal for a provider who values collaboration, autonomy in treatment planning, and working alongside a dedicated clinical team in a client-centered practice.

What You’ll Do: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for children, adolescents, and/or adults. Collaborate with therapists and leadership to ensure high-quality, holistic care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our EHR system. Participate in case consultations and contribute to a warm, integrated clinical team culture.
What We’re Looking For: Active Texas licensure and Board Certification as a PMHNP. At least 1 year of independent outpatient psychiatric experience and an established relationship with a collaborating physician preferred. Availability for minimal on-site work at one of our GHCS offices (with potential future expansion to other sites). Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to cultural responsiveness, and clinical excellence.
