Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal
- Operate floor buffers and other specialized equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks with proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
- Maintain facilities by performing routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, surface cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks including residential painting or light repairs to uphold facility appearance
- Follow strict safety procedures during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a hazard-free environment
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment use
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff and visitors
- Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep including minor repairs or painting projects
