Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Physician Assistant located in Houston, TX. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, formulating diagnoses, and collaborating on treatment plans. Key tasks include documenting patient information, prescribing medications under supervision, and providing ongoing support for mental health care and treatment. Additionally, the Physician Assistant will engage with patients and families to ensure a compassionate and holistic treatment approach.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with psychopharmacological treatments
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
- Biligual is a big plus
- Proficiency in medical recordkeeping and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Valid Physician Assistant license in Texas and national certification (NCCPA)
- Experience in mental health care or psychiatry is required
