JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Director’s role is to administer the entire strategy, operations, and management program for persons with intellectual disabilities and autism. The Program Director is also in charge of managing the Program Managers and Direct Supports Professionals, as well as ensuring that all federal and state regulations are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals’ with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years of work experience working directly with individuals’ with intellectual disabilities or autism.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory experience, in a related field
- Strong communication abilities, both in writing and verbal.
- Well-organized.
- The willingness and ability to preserve confidentiality.
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Updated insurance coverage, license, current vehicle inspection, and current automobile registration are required.
- The ability to multitask is required.
- Strong knowledge of the HCSIS and the Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, among other software applications.
- Must understand fundamental supervisory concepts and practices, basic quantitative and budgeting ability, is required.
- 2 -5 years’ experience with Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) knowledge and understanding.
- Proficient written communication skills.
- Understanding of regulations related to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Office of Developmental Programs (ODP)
- Ability to learn and apply company policies and processes to determine the effectiveness of a program.
- Collect data to assess the program’s effectiveness.
- Ability to solve problems, utilize sound judgment, and make rational conclusions.
- Capability to recognize and successfully respond in emergency situations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing all Program Managers' caseloads.
- Oversees, trains, and manages the performance of all DSP and Program Managers employees.
- Examines financial documentation/billing and examines individual funds within the facility.
- In the absence of the Vice President, performs duties and obligations as well as being on call.
- Ensures that all sites and locations are secure, and well-maintained.
- Ensures that individual program strategies and procedures are developed and implemented.
- Coordinating and completing all assessments or self-assessments.
- Participating in the individual plans process, development, team reviews and implementation in accordance with the 6400 regulations.
- Conduct 90 days and annual performance evaluations.
- Providing and supervising activities for individuals in an accordance with the individual plan
- Supporting the individual integration of individuals in the community.
- Supporting the individual communication and involvement of with the families and friends.
- Assist with staffing issues such as hiring and termination.
- Coordination of new employee orientation is done in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
- Coordination with Program Managers to ensure that all staff are following guidelines and receive 24 hours of yearly training.
- Completing and monitoring all Incidents reports the Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) system.
- Review and upload all incidents to Home Community Services Information System. (HCSIS) website work.
- Work closely with the compliance department to ensure that EIM’s are effectively reported using the Home Community Services Information System.
- Remains aware of behavioral and /or medical status of the people that GHHS supports.
- Maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- Makes independent choices about program operations within authority.
- Ensures adherence to all state mandates as well as GHHS rules and procedures.
- Making a monthly draw deposit and reporting on the monies appropriated assuring that no monies are being misappropriated.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
