Position Summary:
GDCG is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Insurance and Restoration Estimator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in assessing property damage, preparing accurate estimates, and working with insurance adjusters and homeowners to ensure timely and efficient restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections to assess damage and gather information for estimates
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely estimates using Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and insurance adjusters to ensure scope accuracy
- Communicate professionally with property owners to explain the restoration process and answer questions
- Track project status and provide regular updates to internal teams and clients
- Assist with change orders and supplemental estimates as needed
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and insurance carrier guidelines
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in restoration estimating or related construction field
- Proficiency with Xactimate required
- Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and property damage restoration
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- IICRC certifications or related credentials are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
