Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach synchronous coursework at the elementary school level under the direction of the Principal.
- Lead students through successful synchronous course completion.
- Foster a virtual environment conducive to learning.
- Prioritize student needs so that each child may reach their fullest potential.
- Partner with parents and colleagues to manage course goals, curriculum, and materials that best benefit the individual needs of each student.
- Engage and nurture student learning and student relationships.
- Teach engaging live and asynchronous lessons over a virtual platform.
- Promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Elementary Education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred, with specific experience in elementary education.
- An ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g. learning management systems, web-based instructional tools)
- Physical/Travel: Ability to operate a computer for lengthy periods.
Location Preference:
Applicants residing in the Massachusetts area are strongly preferred, with the ability to travel to locations across the state and attend GCVS events as needed.
