WHAT WILL YOU DO EVERY DAY AS AN HVAC ESTIMATION SPECIALIST?
As an HVAC Estimation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects. Your day will involve reviewing project drawings and specifications, performing material and labor take-offs, and developing cost-effective purchasing strategies. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure that all project estimates align with industry standards and company goals. Attending pre-bid meetings, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders will also be part of your routine.
WHEN WILL YOU WORK?
This is a full-time estimating position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The role offers the flexibility to work either onsite or remotely, providing a stable and structured work environment.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE OUR HVAC ESTIMATION SPECIALIST?
- Related work experience or education
- Strong MEP/HVAC knowledge and general trades experience
- Ability to perform accurate take-offs and create a schedule of values
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent research skills and knowledge of ductwork and SMACNA standards
- Understanding of specifications, drawings, and basic electrical principles
- Familiarity with aerial lifts, cranes, and power tools
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practices and standards
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong business, negotiation, and construction management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word with adaptability to various software platforms
