WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
As the Commercial HVAC Lead Installation Technician, you'll serve as the backbone of our installation operations. Your responsibilities include:
- Dispatching directly from home to job sites
- Overseeing all aspects of commercial HVAC installation projects
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior technicians and apprentices
- Interpreting blueprints, specs, and technical documents to guide work
- Ensuring installation work complies with all applicable codes and standards
- Installing RTUs, VAVs, ductwork, and commercial control systems
- Coordinating with subcontractors, project managers, and clients for seamless execution
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safety-compliant job sites and vehicles
- Troubleshooting and resolving installation-related challenges
- Completing job documentation, reports, and timesheets accurately
- Acting as a professional and respectful representative of the Greater Comfort team
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Valid KY Journeyman HVAC license
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Willingness to travel up to 5 consecutive days at a time
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, installation procedures, code compliance, and safety standards
- Basic computer skills for using digital tools, completing reports, and accessing work orders
- Prior leadership or crew lead experience is a plus!
