Our company is seeking a dependable and observant Guard Shack & Parking Lot Associate to assist with Trucks exiting our truck lot as well as diligently overseeing the safety and orderliness of our parking area.
In this role, you will be the last point of contact for truck drivers and visitors, ensuring the convenient and efficient exiting of vehicles from our facility. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in providing a friendly and efficient environment for others and who themselves enjoy interacting with drivers and travelers. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor exit (and entry) of truck vehicles into the truck stop parking lot.
Ensuring all truck parking lot customers complete their parking payment efficiently and thoroughly at the time of their exit.
Greet and provide instructions to truck drivers and visitors, directing them as needed and promoting the amenities nd services our truckstop offers.
Conduct routine patrols of the parking lot, upon request, to ensure safety, report any suspicious or unauthorized activity, and assist with enforcing parking policies.
Collect parking fees and accurately document payments and vehicle information.
Assist with coordinating the movement of vehicles within the lot to maximize space efficiency and traffic flow, especially during peak times.
Performing light maintenance tasks such as ensuring signs are visible and garbage is picked up in your immediate surroundimgs.
Communicate with truck stop management and security in case of emergencies or violations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a security, parking attendant, or customer service role is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with truck drivers and visitors.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be able to stand, sit, and patrol (as instructed only) for long periods.
Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
