Greater Bridge AcademyJob Description: Infant & Toddler TeacherPosition Title: Infant & Toddler TeacherLocation: Greater Bridge AcademyReports To: Center Director / Administrative StaffEmployment Type: Full-Time / Part-TimePosition SummaryGreater Bridge Academy is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and energetic Infant & Toddler Teacher to provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for children ages 6 weeks to 24 months. The teacher will create a safe, loving, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children.Our team members must demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a commitment to positive classroom climate and developmentally appropriate practices.Key ResponsibilitiesChild Care & SupervisionProvide attentive supervision to infants and toddlers at all times.Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in your care.Maintain proper teacher-to-child ratios according to licensing requirements. Follow safe sleep practices for infants. Classroom Environment Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom. Create a warm and nurturing atmosphere where children feel secure. Set up engaging learning materials appropriate for infants and toddlers. Child Development Support children's early developmental milestones including language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as: Tummy time Sensory play Music and movement Storytime Exploration activities Daily Car Change diapers and assist with toilet training as appropriate. Feed infants and toddlers according to their individual schedules. Follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures. Maintain daily care logs including feeding, diapering, and nap times. Communication Maintain positive communication with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities. Provide daily reports to families. Communicate concerns or incidents immediately to administrative staff. Professional Responsibilities Follow all Greater Bridge Academy policies and procedures. Maintain positive climate and appropriate classroom management practices. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred CDA (Child Development Associate) or Early Childhood coursework preferred Must pass background check Must complete required state training and certifications Skills & Attributes Patience and compassion Strong communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and reliability Passion for early childhood development Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit, bend, kneel, and move throughout the classroom Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Early childhood education: 1 year (Preferred)
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
