Position Summary

We are seeking a temporary, part-time Total Rewards Consultant to support 3 planned 2026 compensation and benefits initiatives, including a total rewards study (Q2), pay equity study (Summer), and self-insurance research and potential implementation project (Q4). Other benefits-related project support may be requested, as needed. This role will provide analysis, project support, documentation, and stakeholder communications to help ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

This role will have access to sensitive and confidential employee information. The successful candidate must maintain strict confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures.

The pay for the part-time opportunity is $60-$70/hour. The position requires 20 hours per week, with an immediate need through the end of the year.

The Bank has a hybrid work program, with a requirement of one in-office day per week for the part-time position. More time will be expected in the office to support onboarding initially.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for the total rewards study, including workstream tracking, meeting facilitation support, synthesis of findings, and documentation of decisions and deliverables.
  • Support pay equity study activities such as data collection/validation, coordinating inputs with internal stakeholders and/or external partners, maintaining issue logs, and preparing analysis summaries and presentation materials.
  • Support a self-insurance research and potential implementation project by gathering requirements, coordinating with brokers/vendors and internal partners, organizing available benefits/claims inputs, developing comparisons and recommendations, tracking decisions and action items, and preparing implementation-ready materials for review.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain compensation and benefits data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts (timelines, workplans, status updates, action-item logs, process notes, and file repositories) and provide concise status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Draft internal communications, FAQs, and presentation materials related to total rewards and benefits initiatives.
  • Support benefits projects as needed (e.g., open enrollment preparation, vendor file reviews, plan document updates, benchmarking support, employee-facing materials).
  • Coordinate and support meetings and working sessions (scheduling, agendas, notes) and follow up on action items to keep workstreams moving.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal/Compliance as appropriate to ensure consistent documentation and process adherence.
  • Provide additional HR and total rewards consulting support as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in HR, compensation/benefits work, HR operations, or project management.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with confidential employee data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas) and Microsoft PowerPoint/Word.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional partners and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to compensation, total rewards, or benefits administration (e.g., benchmarking, salary structures, vendor coordination, open enrollment support).
  • Experience supporting pay equity analyses and/or working with HRIS/compensation systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot charts, data cleaning) and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com) or similar trackers.
  • Understanding of data privacy practices and sensitivity to handling employee information.
