Greater Albany Public Schools is seeking a Network Technician II with a strong focus on software systems support, integration, and enterprise applications. This role plays a key part in supporting the systems that power teaching, learning, and district operations.
What You'll Do:
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise software systems, applications, and platforms
Provide production support, issue resolution, and system performance monitoring
Gather and translate business and technical requirements into functional solutions
Assist with implementation and ongoing support of district-wide applications
Collaborate with IT staff and stakeholders to improve workflows and system usability
Lead or contribute to projects involving system deployment, upgrades, and optimization
Mentor junior technicians and support coordinated service delivery
Bonus / Desired Experience:
FreePBX / VoIP systems administration
Mosyle or other MDM platforms
Google Admin Console / Google Workspace for Education
Experience in K12 or similarly complex, multi-site environments

Position Overview: To improve student achievement through delivery of custom-developed and purchased applications, systems, enterprise platforms and related components. The Technician II position demonstrates a moderate level of analysis, design, development, testing, production support and project management skills and mentors Technicians I in these areas. Can independently perform skilled technical work, leads projects and will work with complex systems and processes. Provides a variety of skilled and expanded technical support for computers, software, and other instruction-related technology in schools, including needs assessment, project management,and site system administration for schools and departments; prioritizes goals and collaborates with leadership in advancing the district's technology vision; assists with the implementation of enterprise applications.
