Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Glastonbury, CT for a Data Analyst. We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our research team. In this role, you will manage data processing tasks, run meaningful analyses, and contribute to insight development that shapes client strategies and support research projects. You will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure data accuracy, analytical workflows, and high-impact reporting while still having opportunities to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Quality Assurance
- Clean, manage, organize, and validate quantitative data from multiple sources (surveys, third-party datasets, digital analytics tools, etc.).
- Perform quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the research process (survey logic, sample quotas, data files, deliverables).
- Troubleshoot issues during fieldwork, data collection, or analysis and escalate when needed.
- Manage data weighting, sample balancing, dataset merging, and other methodological tasks.
Statistical Analysis & Advanced Analytics
- Assist in running descriptive analyses and basic statistical tests (open-end coding, frequencies, crosstabs, significance testing, etc.).
- Assist with advanced analytics tasks (segmentation, predictive modeling, regression, forecasting models or trend projections, etc.) depending on project needs.
- Design analytical frameworks and statistical approaches to support project needs.
Insight Generation, Visualization, and Reporting
- Interpret results (trends, patterns, and key drivers of consumer behavior) and help translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to the narrative development of client deliverables and present findings to internal research team.
- Support the development of dashboards and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with research team to ensure data accuracy, interpret data results, and shape strategic recommendations and project success.
- Ensure that insights and recommendations are aligned with client objectives and project goals.
- Present findings to internal team in a clear and engaging manner.
Project & Workflow Management
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain project calendars and ensure all data due dates, client deadlines, and internal checkpoints are clearly communicated.
- Anticipate potential roadblocks and adjust resources or timelines proactively.
- Document processes, maintain project trackers, and ensure project materials are organized and up to date.
- Help establish best practices for workflow efficiency, documentation, data management, and team organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Market Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analysis, market research, or business intelligence.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and at least one analytics tool (SPSS preferred).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and market research principles.
- Excellent critical-thinking skills with a passion for turning data into meaningful insights.
- Ability to present complex information in an accessible way.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience with survey platforms (Alchemer, Qualtrics, etc.).
- Experience with visualization platforms (Forsta - Dapresy, Power BI, etc.).
- Familiarity with consumer insights, brand tracking, or product research.
