What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Load Driver position at Great Waste And Recycling?
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Front Load Driver is responsible for operating a front-end loader truck to collect and transport waste from residential and commercial areas to the designated landfill site.
This is a 6 day a week position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Operate a front-end loader truck to collect and transport waste from various locations to the landfillsite
•Ensure proper loading of waste into the truck and secure it for transport
•Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe working condition
•Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
•Maintain accurate records of waste collection and disposal
•Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors
•Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck as required
•Adhere to company policies and procedures for safety and environmental compliance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Ability to push and pull loaded garbage cans
•Ability to stand, walk, repeated bending, and stoop for extended periods of time
•Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day
•Ability to sit inside the cab of your truck for long period of times
•Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
•Ability to work under pressure in a sometimes stressful environment
