Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, or industrial cleaning, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques
• Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
• Conduct custodial tasks such as window washing and surface disinfecting
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Support special cleaning projects as needed, including industrial cleaning or deep cleans

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and floor care techniques such as buffing
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Experience with residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Prior porter or maintenance experience is advantageous
