World Language Teacher - French

Great Valley High School is seeking an innovative, dedicated and compassionate World Language Teacher – French to join its team. The successful candidate will have a commitment to delivering engaging, proficiency-based instruction aligned with ACTFL standards, fostering students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. A strong commitment to cultural understanding, inclusive teaching practices, and collaborative professional growth is essential.


Responsibilities

• Teach French using immersive, communication-based methods
• Design culturally relevant curriculum aligned with ACTFL and state standards
• Assess student progress through varied, performance-based methods
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development
• Strengthen students’ research, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Continuously assess student progress and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
• Foster strong communication with families and encourage active parental involvement
• Uphold school policies and standards for student behavior and conduct
• Select and manage instructional resources and classroom materials effectively

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in French (Grades 7-12)
• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or related field
• Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
• Experience with ACTFL standards and diverse learners preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

2025-2026 Salary Schedule:
