Awning Installer – Seasonal

Great Valley Awning, an awning and shade solution company serving Chester County, Delaware County, the Mainline, and Northern Delaware, is seeking a full-time Installation Technician for the 2026 season. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and grow into a leader with the Great Valley team. This position offers the potential to transition into our holiday décor business at the end of the awning season.No direct awning installation experience required as hands-on training will be provided. However, construction experience required. Ladder work is a requirement of this position.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily tasks including lifting, rolling, and attaching awnings
• Use hand and power tools to drill and mount retractable awnings, stationary awnings, and shade products
• Climb and work with heights to mount awnings or shading
• Make calculated adjustments to canvas, plastic, ropes, and frames
• Locate studs and joists on existing structures
• Assist in our Pool Service division during slow periods when needed

Qualifications:

· General construction knowledge regarding stucco, vinyl or aluminum siding, hardy board, and basic framing required

· Ladder work required

· A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to work

· Flexibility to work overtime when necessary

• Competencies include: teamwork, communication, and time management

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs.

· Must be able to frequently perform work on a ladder

· Requires the physical ability to use hands, arms, feet, and legs for repetitive movements, bending, squatting, and reaching

· Requires the physical ability to function in exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, as well as exposure to chemicals

· Requires driving a vehicle
