Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
- Support children’s individual needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by adapting activities and providing personalized attention.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and daily activities.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes active learning and exploration.
- Use specialized techniques such as Montessori or other educational philosophies to enhance early childhood development.
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with special education, behavior management, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall curriculum development.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
