What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift position at Great Southern Wood Preserving - Tyler Inc.?
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking forklift operators. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.
Essential Duties:
- Use pedals to go forward and backwards as well as be able to navigate a warehouse.
- Be able to use hydraulic controls to lift, tilt, and shift product for stacking or movement.
There are many departments that utilize forklifts, some examples are listed below:
- Unloading trucks and placing product into the warehouse.
- Loading for production
- Moving product around the warehouse.
- Loading trucks for logistics to ship to customers.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Lumber experience a plus!
