About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Respiratory Care Manager to lead Respiratory Care services across our WB and FM campuses. This role provides operational and clinical leadership, oversees departmental workflow, and ensures the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based respiratory care. The Respiratory Care Manager plays a key role in staff supervision, department operations, budget management, and regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative and patient‑centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for Respiratory Care across multiple campuses, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to clinical standards.
- Supervise respiratory care staff including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee clinical practice through direct supervision, clinical reviews, and support for accurate assessments, care planning, and documentation.
- Maintain 24‑hour accountability for staffing, patient care quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Plan and manage departmental budgets, monitor productivity, and collaborate with leadership to support financial goals.
- Ensure quality and production standards are met across all respiratory care modalities.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, efficient patient services.
- Respond to patient and staff concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support onboarding and ongoing education for new and existing staff, including equipment training and competency development.
- Forecast staffing and supply needs to maintain operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records including staffing, payroll, budgets, inventory, and compliance documentation.
- Select and manage equipment, supplies, and furnishings to support safe and effective care.
- Promote shared governance and a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction through service excellence and responsive communication.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved Respiratory Therapist program (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or ability to obtain within 3 years (Required)
- 3 years of critical care experience (Preferred)
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Respiratory equipment and tools
- Leadership and management principles
- Customer service and patient satisfaction processes
- Human behavior and performance
- Safety and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem‑recognition skills
- Ability to teach, coach, and support staff development
