R&D A Person – Assaria Great Plains Mfg is looking for an R&D A Person for its facility in Assaria, KS.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and repair complex weld fixtures for productionBuild complex prototypes for the product development teamAssemble prototypes as neededRead, interpret and work from engineering printsFollow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years' experience in welding, R&D or combination.
Ability to weld and operate a cutting torch or hand-held plasma torchAbility to operate fabrication equipment to include HAAS, lathe, plasma torch, saw and vertical mill – some training will be providedForklift license or the ability to obtain oneAbility to read blueprints and standard measuring devicesStrong mechanical aptitudeSupply necessary hand tools, including some precision toolsBasic computer skills helpful At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
