Forklift Operator-Salina

Forklift Operator – 1st Shift - Salina, KS

Great Plains Mfg has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Facility.

This position works Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus occasional overtime, as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate
• Load and unload trucks
• Other duties as assigned such as driving a truck and working with other departments
  
  

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
• Ability to use and understand AS400
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required
