Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Painter to oversee and execute painting projects across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for guiding a team of painters, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on construction sites. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing will help transform spaces with precision and artistry. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate painting crews on multiple construction and renovation sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools and power tools such as airless sprayers for efficient coverage.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; maintain a clean work environment and operate equipment responsibly.Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial coating applications.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques, and finishing methods.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and experience working on active construction sites.
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations; experience with remodeling or renovation projects is preferred.
- Additional skills in carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), plastering, stucco application, masonry, welding or fixture installation are advantageous.
