What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Great Oaks?
Nurse aides or students wanting to work with geriatric clients requiring varying levels of assistance to remain safe in their home. Duties to include helping with ADLs, companionship, lite housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, changing bedding, transportation, medication reminders and various other tasks as requested from client. This is non-medical assistance, but transferring a client safely from a prone position to sitting and or standing may be required. Caregivers report to a manager who has experience and is responsible for creating and maintaining the care plan to meet the client's needs.
Managers will interview, hire and provide hands-on coaching and training as necessary. Applicants must have a reliable car, auto inusrance and a valid driver license, as transporting a client to appointments or outings might be required. Must be 18 years or older and have no criminal record or drug usage.
