Job Summary
Great Oaks Learning Center is a faith-based childcare center dedicated to cultivating children academically, spiritually, and socially in a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic teacher's assistant to support our lead teachers in creating meaningful learning experiences while helping children grow in every area of development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, nap time, and transitions.
- Encourage positive behavior through patience, consistency, and age-appropriate guidance.
- Assist children with toileting, diaper changes, handwashing, and other personal care needs while following health and safety procedures.
- Help serve meals and snacks while promoting healthy eating habits.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Observe and report any concerns regarding a child's health, behavior, or development to the lead teacher or director.
- Accurately complete required daily documentation, including meals, diaper changes, naps, and classroom activities.
- Follow all childcare regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other classroom and center duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and accept coaching and training.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance is essential.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Must successfully complete required background check and drug screening.

Pay: From $9.00 per hour
