Position Summary:
Great Oaks Charter School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Attendance Coordinator to join our team. The Attendance Coordinator will play a vital role in promoting student attendance and engagement by providing support and intervention to students and families. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience working with youth and families, and the ability to connect families with community resources. As this position requires home visits, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for students struggling with attendance issues.
Conduct home visits to address attendance concerns and provide support to families.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to develop strategies for improving student attendance.
Implement attendance intervention programs and initiatives to promote regular school attendance.
Connect families with community resources and support services to address barriers to attendance.
Conduct student check-ins and provide mentoring and support to help students overcome attendance challenges.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and intervention efforts.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to address attendance issues and provide support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with youth and families, particularly in an educational or social services setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of community resources and support services for families.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $44,000 - $48,000 Based on Experience.
