GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Routine manual work involving food production in Food Service cash operations in a high school setting. Work involves preparing and making food options which may include but are not limited to: slicing and weighing of meat, vegetables, fruits and grain products for cooking, assembling, packaging, and packing of menu items. Activities and decisions are routine in nature. Employee follows written and/or oral procedures and practices.
Must have the ability to operate commercial dishwasher, meat slicer, ovens, mixers and other small appliances. Ability to handle knives and other sharp items in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include some or all of the following:
- Prepare, mix and assemble a variety of sandwiches
- Slice meat, cheese, vegetables or other products for sandwiches or other menu options
- Pack prepared sandwiches for transport and delivery to units on campus
- Clean and sanitize work area and equipment
- Clean all food contact surfaces with sanitizer
- Sweep and mop floors
- Wash and sanitize slicing equipment after every use
- Clean and organize coolers and freezers
- Cook menu items, prepare steam table set-up and break-down, and clean steam table
- Record temperature setting on coolers and freezers
- Operate commercial dishwasher
- Wash all dishes, utensils, knives and containers
- Perform cash register duties using POS system
- Perform other duties as required
- Must satisfy all job related attendance requirements
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
Availability: Immediately
Hours: 5 hours per day (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday
Salary: $16.66 per hour (benefits not included)
