Job Overview
Luxury small boarding kennels is seeking an Experienced and Responsible Boarding Attendant initially to work over the holidays from December 23rd-January 5th. Must be available on Christmas and New Years. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare, possess strong animal handling skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service. This role involves caring for boarded pets, ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing a positive experience for pet owners. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to animals in boarding facilities, including feeding, administering medication, and monitoring health status
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and behaviors
- Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in dog training, veterinary technician work, or kennel management
- Strong animal handling and restraint abilities with a focus on safety
- Knowledge of pet grooming, pet sitting, and general animal care practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients
- Veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable
- Dog handling expertise combined with animal care knowledge to ensure pets’ well-being during their stay
- Compassionate attitude with a strong sense of responsibility towards animals’ health and comfort
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
