Account Manager — Transloading & Intermodal Great Northwest Transport | Pasco, WA
Great Northwest Transport an asset based carrier is hiring an Account Manager to grow our transloading, intermodal, and logistics solutions business out of our Pasco, WA location.
In this role, you'll sell transloading, intermodal, and supply chain solutions to customers across the Pacific Northwest, with a focus on importers, exporters, and freight forwarders moving freight through the Pacific Northwest Ports. You'll also develop business tied to inland depots and rail ramps, helping shippers find cost-effective, efficient paths to and from rail.
What you'll do:
- Identify and develop new business across the PNW, targeting importers, exporters, and freight forwarders moving freight through Tacoma and Seattle
- Sell transloading, intermodal, and rail ramp/inland depot solutions tailored to customer needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and rail partners
- Understand customer supply chains and position GNW Transport's services to solve real cost and service challenges
- Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth execution of new business
What we're looking for:
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or intermodal/drayage sales
- Strong understanding of port operations, intermodal rail, or transloading (preferred)
- Self-motivated, relationship-driven, and comfortable owning a territory
- Based in the Tri-Cities area and work out of our location, or hybrid; travel will be roughly 30% of your time
Compensation & Benefits: $85,000–$95,000 base salary, plus commission on revenue generated from the business you bring in. New business is rewarded with a higher commission rate for the first year of the account, stepping down to a standard ongoing rate as accounts mature. Total compensation will vary based on individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
