GREAT NORTHWEST MOVING COMPANY is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Specialist to support and optimize our daily transportation and freight operations. As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll play a key role in coordinating shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining strong communication across teams, clients, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of shipments, pickups, and deliveries
- Monitor freight movement and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation (bills of lading, invoices, etc.)
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient operations
- Identify and resolve delays, discrepancies, or routing issues
- Maintain accurate records in transportation and logistics systems
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); TMS experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required (higher education is a plus)
