About the Role:
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of human resources functions within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will partner with leadership and employees to address HR-related needs, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration. By effectively managing these areas, the HR Generalist contributes to the overall organizational success and employee satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a human resources role with generalist responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Experience with employee engagement and organizational development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment process including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
- Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations when necessary, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and prepare reports related to HR metrics and compliance.
- Coordinate performance management processes including performance reviews and development plans.
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation administration.

Analytical skills are essential for interpreting HR metrics and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
