Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our crew. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and able to operate a variety of equipment efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes
- Perform residential and light commercial excavation tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Read and interpret job plans, site layouts, and project specifications
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other trades on-site
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in residential and light commercial excavation
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of heavy machinery
- Ability to read plans and understand grade, layout, and project requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Preferred (Not Required):
- Class A CDL (bonus consideration)
